Hawzah News Agency- Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, today on the sidelines of his trip to Turkmenistan, met and held talks with Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran. This meeting took place at a time when regional developments and bilateral relations between Tehran and Moscow are in the spotlight.
The Russian president also, referring to the tensions and conflicts surrounding Iran, assessed Moscow's position as positive and said: "We know that Iran is making serious efforts to end the conflict." Describing the situation in the region as "dire," he emphasized Russia's full readiness to take any action to help Iran in the direction of resolving conflicts in West Asia.
One of the most important parts of this meeting was Putin's request to Pezeshkian to convey a message of greetings and good wishes to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. The Russian president, addressing his Iranian counterpart, said: "Convey my greetings to Ayatollah Khamenei," and added: "I ask you to convey the best wishes, as well as wishes for health and success, to the Supreme Leader of Iran."
This meeting took place at a time when Tehran and Moscow have significantly expanded their relations in political, economic, and security fields in recent years. Experts believe that this meeting can pave the way for further coordination between the two countries regarding regional and international developments.
