Hawzah News Agency- According to published analyses, since Donald Trump's return to the White House, his popularity has fallen to historic lows. Almost all who voted for Kamala Harris in the 2024 election are dissatisfied with his performance. But more notably, one in five of Trump's own voters is now dissatisfied with his performance—a figure indicating a growing gap in his traditional support base.
To understand why Trump's coalition is falling apart, one must recall 2024 and how he was re-elected. In that election, Trump was able to form a broad coalition of working-class people, racial minorities, and voters dissatisfied with the Biden administration through economic promises, inflation control, and ending wars. But now, with the ongoing war with Iran, rising fuel prices, and growing inflation, many of his key promises remain unfulfilled, contributing to the gradual erosion of this coalition.
