Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the second international conference "The Uprising of the Ummah of Muhammad (PBUH)" held on Wednesday by the Global Qademoun Assembly, Ufa stressed that the question of Muslim unity and solidarity is more critical today than ever before. However, he noted, the unity proclaimed in the speeches and statements of many Islamic and political centers has yet to translate into genuine unity on the ground.
'Know Your Time and Place'
Citing the Quranic verse "And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided" (3:103), Ufa said Muslims must understand the time and place in which they live and work to preserve their faith, dignity, and Islamic society according to their own circumstances. He noted that a significant portion of the trials and tribulations facing Muslims stems from their own actions, referencing the verse: "And whatever strikes you of disaster—it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much" (42:30).
One Quran, One Sunnah
The Russian activist pointed out that while Muslims today speak according to their own sect, viewpoint, or interpretation of Islam, they must remember that the Quran is one and the Sunnah of the Prophet is the shared heritage of the entire Islamic Ummah. He stressed that religious, intellectual, ethnic, and personal differences must not prevent the formation of a true community among Muslims.
'Everyone Wants Others to Follow Them'
Quoting Sa'id Afandi, a scholar from Dagestan, Ufa observed: "Sometimes Muslims speak of 'unity,' but in reality, each person wants others to gather around his own belief, sect, and viewpoint. True unity requires Muslims to move beyond self-centeredness and focus on the great commonalities of the Ummah."
Divisions Block Victory
Referring to the situation of Muslims worldwide, including in Palestine and Iran, Ufa warned that the absence of true unity among Muslims is a critical issue, and without it, achieving victory and relief for the Islamic Ummah will remain difficult. He emphasized that the first enemy of man is Satan and called for a return to love, brotherhood, and solidarity among Muslims.
A Call for Prayer and Solidarity
In closing, the Russian cultural activist urged Muslims to strengthen affection and empathy among themselves, saying: "If Muslims are truly united, they must pray for one another—for our Muslim brothers in Palestine, Iran, and across the world, for the scholars, and for all members of the Islamic Ummah." He expressed hope that God would pave the way for the realization of true love, unity, and solidarity among Muslims.
