Hawzah News Agency- The stalls featured a wide range of books, including the Holy Quran, Hadith, Seerah, Islamic literature, research, history and culture, as well as religious and moral education books for children and adolescents.
Visitors to the fair are also seen expressing enthusiasm. Raihan Ahmed, a student of Dhaka University, told BSS that this year's fair offers greater variety. “I am particularly impressed by books from foreign publishers and the Seerah Exhibition. Such an initiative should be organized regularly,” he said.
Books published by the Islamic Foundation are also available at special discounts at its own stall.
At the opening ceremony of the fair on Sept 12, Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain said the fair would play an important role in promoting Islamic knowledge and moral values among the general public. He also said the Islamic Foundation would be freed from political influence of the past and developed into an effective centre for disseminating the Holy Quran and Hadith.
