Hawzah News Agency- In his statement, Ayatollah Qassim, leader of Bahrain's Islamic movement, posed a question to all Islamic sects, Muslim scholars, and believers: Is there any Quranic verse, sacred hadith, authentic narration—or even a weak one—from the Prophet or the infallible Ahl al-Bayt (AS), or any Islamic school or Muslim scholar, that believes Islam has set an endpoint at which the rulings of Islamic Sharia would come to an absolute end under any government, ruler, or state?
The question, he said, is addressed to the Bahraini government—a government that today sets limits on a wide range of established rulings in the sacred Sharia of Islam in general, and in particular what is received from the infallible household of the Prophet.
Yes, the government does this and nullifies the Sharia of God Almighty in implementation, rulings, and decisions, he said, returning the ability to perform religious rites to human government permits, and decreeing that the matter of allowing or forbidding is subject to the government's own will—even if it contradicts the divine will—thereby voiding divine legislation and punishing any Muslim who does not consider opposing the Sharia of the Lord permissible.
Ayatollah Qassim posed a second question: What prevents all Islamic sects, all Islamic scholars, and every believer in Islam from declaring the obvious Islamic prohibition against such a grave denial—one that, if allowed to proceed on its path, would completely and definitively erase Islam?
He concluded: At this point, excuses have run out, and justifications for this statement are extremely weak. May God guide us all to the right path.
