Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi, head of the Anjuman-e Ulama-e Asna Ashari of Kargil, India, along with a number of the group's members, met and held talks with Hojatoleslam Abdol Majid Hakimollahi, the representative of the Supreme Leader in India, in New Delhi.
The meeting was held with the aim of introducing the new members of the Kargil Shia Scholars Association, reviewing the organizational affairs and activities of the group, and also delivering popular donations collected by the people of Kargil for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, Hojatoleslam Hakimollahi congratulated Hojatoleslam Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi on his re-election for a third term as head of the Kargil Shia Scholars Association and wished him and the new members success.
The representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran in India also congratulated the election of the vice president, secretary-general, and other new members of the Kargil Shia Scholars Association, expressing hope that the group's new leadership, while promoting and spreading Islamic teachings and the sciences of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), will further expand its activities in educational, charitable, and social fields.
Referring to the activities of the Kargil Shia Scholars Association over the past decade, he praised the institution's services in various religious and social fields and wished its new members ever-increasing success.
Hojatoleslam Hakimollahi went on to express gratitude to the people of Kargil on behalf of the Iranian nation, saying: The people of Kargil, following a brief request from the Kargil Shia Scholars Association and understanding the difficult conditions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, practically demonstrated their sympathy, solidarity, and Islamic brotherhood by contributing financial and non-financial assistance.
He added: The people of Kargil, according to their means, donated various forms of assistance, including cash, gold and jewelry, vehicles, motorcycles, clothing, livestock, as well as necessary household goods and items.
The representative of the Supreme Leader in India described this action as a sign of the deep bond between the people of Kargil and the Islamic Republic of Iran, their spirit of benevolence, and their sense of Islamic brotherhood, and expressed gratitude for this solidarity and sympathy.
Hojatoleslam Hakimollahi also announced that the donations collected from the people of Kargil will be used for the reconstruction and repair of hospitals damaged during the war in Iran, as well as for providing necessary medical equipment and devices.
Describing this action as valuable, he called it a manifestation of sympathy and solidarity among Muslims and thanked the people of Kargil for their participation in supporting the people of Iran.
