Hawzah News Agency- In a written note, al-Zubaidi said an air bridge has been transporting terrorists from Syria to Yemen to confront Ansarullah, following the failure of Persian Gulf military operations against the group.
He added that the move has been accompanied by an intense media campaign promoting the so-called "liberation of Yemen."
Al-Zubaidi said the entry of Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, leader of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, into this war is a failed step — but one that serves his interests by distracting Syrians with foreign crises and diverting attention from their internal ones.
He noted the move may also aim to eliminate certain commanders who pose a threat to his position.
Asked about Turkey's stance on the transfer and whether it is part of a Saudi-Turkish-Pakistani agreement, al-Zubaidi said Ankara's interests may align with strengthening any front that confronts the Israeli regime — foremost among them the Ansarullah front.
He noted that al-Jolani may have been forced into the confrontation due to pressure related to Gulf financing for Syria, adding that decision-making in Syria is now tied to a number of regional and international parties.
Al-Zubaidi warned that continuing down this path could open new fronts, and that dragging al-Jolani into the war is part of a broader project in which he has been transformed from a wanted figure into the head of power in Syria.
A Syrian source had previously told Al-Maalomah news agency that secret movements and meetings were underway to coordinate the transfer of Syrian militants to Yemen, noting that the operation is being carried out in batches under arrangements directed by the United States, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
