Hawzah News Agency- An Indian cleric has emphasized that steadfastness in the face of enemy pressure and trust in God are the keys to divine victory, citing the resistance of the oppressed peoples of Yemen and Iran as practical examples of this principle.
Hojatoleslam Syed Ali Sajir Rizvi made the remarks during Friday prayers at the Shia Eidgah in Husain Abad, Jharkhand state, India, according to a report by the Hawzah News Agency.
Trust in God and Steadfastness
Referring to the oppressed people, particularly in Yemen and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Rizvi stated: "A nation that stands firm on its positions with trust in God and without fear of enemy pressure paves the way for divine relief and assistance."
Citing verses from Surah al-Anfal and Surah al-Talaq, he added: "When a person observes piety by following divine commands and remains steadfast in fulfilling their religious duties, God provides ways of salvation and relief."
The religious scholar, referring to the teachings of the Noble Prophet (PBUH), said: "Clinging to the guidance of the Quran and adhering to divine commands is one of the most effective ways to overcome problems, dead ends, and difficult circumstances in life."
Divine Tests and Religious Responsibility
Noting that some apparent dead ends in individual and social life are part of divine tests, he stated: "In difficult conditions, one should not retreat from religious responsibilities due to fear, pressure, or problems. Rather, one must fulfill their divine duty with piety, patience, and steadfastness, because this spirit can pave the way for God's relief and assistance."
The Indian cleric continued: "When a person fulfills their divine responsibility without being influenced by enemy pressure or unfavorable conditions, God provides help and sustenance through ways they could never have imagined."
Trust in God: Faith Paired with Responsibility
Referring to the stories of Prophet Moses (AS) and Prophet Joseph (AS) in the Quran, Rizvi described both as clear examples of the outcome of piety and trust in God. He said: "Prophet Moses (AS) found himself in a situation where the sea lay before him and Pharaoh's army behind him, but through trust in God and steadfastness, the sea was parted and a path to salvation emerged."
He added: "Prophet Joseph (AS) also stood firm against difficulties and hardships by avoiding sin and choosing piety, and ultimately the truth was revealed and his innocence was proven."
Explaining the true meaning of trust in God, the cleric stated: "Trust in God does not mean abandoning responsibilities and leaving everything to God. Rather, a person must fully carry out their duties of servitude and religious responsibilities while trusting in divine decree and decision."
Remembrance of God: Liberation from Worldly Chains
Referring to the effects of remembering God during hardships and psychological pressure, he said: "Remembrance of God grants a person insight and helps them not to be limited to apparent means alone, but to make the right decision through trust in God."
Rizvi noted: "Such a spirit liberates a person from dependence on and captivity to apparent means, as well as from satanic temptations, and paves the way for conscious and effective movement on the path of truth."
Steadfastness of Oppressed Nations and Divine Promise
In conclusion, referring to current global developments, he stated: "The steadfastness and resistance of oppressed peoples, particularly in Yemen and Iran, can be seen as practical manifestations of piety and trust in God."
Rizvi added: "When a nation, without fear of enemy pressure and apparent limitations, stands firm on its position with trust in God and does not abandon its divine responsibility, the ground is prepared for divine relief and victory."
