Hawzah News Agency- "Why do institutions that claim to defend human rights remain silent in the face of the suffering and oppression of nations under tyranny, and fail to fulfill their responsibility regarding these crimes?" said Syed Masoom Reza Kaifi, a preacher and Friday prayer leader of Bhadhi Shah Ganj, India, during his Friday sermon.
Despair leads to downfall
Citing the Quranic verse "And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out," Kaifi said that those who practice divine piety will be granted a path to liberation from difficulties by Allah.
He warned against the dangers of despair, describing hopelessness in divine mercy as a grave peril that can drive individuals toward sin and destruction.
"Whoever believes in God must regard hope as the principal capital of their life and never allow despair to overcome them," he said.
The cleric also urged believers to follow the path of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), emphasizing that love for the Prophet's household must be reflected not merely in words but in conduct, ethics, and daily life.
Warning on social media misuse
Kaifi further called on believers to exercise moral responsibility in cyberspace, urging them to refrain from sharing or forwarding inappropriate videos and content that could harm individuals' reputations or tarnish society's image.
"We must not become instruments for spreading sin and misconduct in society," he stressed.
Husseini identity incompatible with allegiance to oppression
Referring to Imam Hussein's (AS) famous declaration, "Someone like me will never pledge allegiance to someone like him," the Indian cleric said the message transcends its historical context.
"This reflects a timeless principle: a true follower of Imam Hussein (AS) cannot surrender to oppression and deviation," Kaifi said. "Followers of the Imam's school must stand against tyranny and defend human and divine values."
Silence amid global oppression
Addressing global developments, the Friday prayer leader noted that the United States and the Zionist regime continue to commit oppression across the world, while international bodies that constantly preach human rights remain conspicuously silent.
"Muslims and free people of the world must not remain silent in the face of injustice and must amplify the voice of the oppressed to the world," he asserted.
Sincerity as condition for righteous deeds
Concluding his remarks, Kaifi stressed the importance of sincerity in good deeds, saying that righteous actions should be performed solely for divine satisfaction and acceptance, not for public admiration or praise.
"The true value of human deeds lies in intention and sincerity, and a believer must always strive to act only for the pleasure of Almighty God," he said.
