Hawzah News Agency – Iran's Judiciary Chief Hojatoleslam Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei has declared that the Islamic Republic will never submit to oppression or coercion, calling on religious leaders from across faiths to unite in the struggle for global peace, justice, and human dignity.
Speaking during a high-profile meeting with Islamic scholars and leaders of various religions in India, Ejei emphasized the profound historical and civilizational bonds between Iran and India, urging both nations to deepen cooperation in the service of humanity.
The event, held at the invitation of senior Indian officials, drew an overwhelming response, with the venue reaching full capacity within minutes and overflow crowds accommodated in adjacent halls. Numerous Indian media outlets covered the gathering extensively.
'Iran Has Never Yielded to Tyranny — and Never Will'
Ejei opened his address by conveying the warm greetings of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to the Indian people and religious scholars, expressing deep appreciation for the significant presence of Indian dignitaries at memorial ceremonies honoring the martyred leader.
"The free people and great scholars of India had a remarkable and valuable presence at the commemoration ceremonies for the martyred Imam, both across various Indian states and in Iran," Ejei said. "For this, I am grateful to the people of India and its great religious scholars."
The Judiciary Chief described the funeral processions for the martyred leader as a "massive and extraordinary popular and civilizational outpouring," noting that Indian dignitaries who attended could attest to its historic significance.
Iran: The World's Foremost Anti-Hegemonic Power
Ejei highlighted Iran's nearly five-decade struggle against global arrogance, declaring the Islamic Republic the world's most anti-hegemonic nation.
"Over the past 48 years, Islamic Iran has offered its finest sons and daughters to reach the summit of independence, dignity, and freedom," he stated. "Like you, we have endured immense suffering to overcome the arrogant powers and tyrants."
He declared that Iran has emerged victorious through divine assistance, standing as "the only country that has proudly locked horns with the most arrogant of the arrogant — the bullying, world-devouring America — and has defeated this hegemonic, aggressive power."
"Iran continues its sacred struggle for the liberation of humanity from the yoke of hegemony and says 'no' to the world-devouring America with a clear voice," Ejei asserted.
Citing Quranic Foundations of Human Dignity
The Judiciary Chief grounded his remarks in Islamic scripture, citing the Quranic verse:
«وَلَقَدْ کَرَّمْنَا بَنِی آدَمَ وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ فِی الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الطَّیِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَیٰ کَثِیرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِیلًا»
"And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference." (Quran 17:70)
"According to the explicit text of the Quran, God has placed within human beings the capacity to reach the highest stations," Ejei explained. "Yet the same human being, due to earthly and worldly aspects, sometimes becomes oppressive, stubborn, ungrateful, and ignorant — falling lower than beasts."
Condemning Attacks on Iranian Schools
The Judiciary Chief delivered a blistering condemnation of recent US and Israeli attacks on Iranian territory, particularly the targeting of a school in Minab.
"During the savage aggression by America and the Zionist regime against Islamic Iran, many children were targeted in a school and martyred. These innocent children were torn to pieces in this barbaric assault," Ejei stated.
He described the attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab as "a clear war crime," noting that UN experts had identified the facility as a civilian educational center and called for an independent investigation.
"Should a school, an elementary school where children gather, be targeted with heavy bombs and powerful missiles?" he asked. "The children of this school were martyred in such a manner that many of their bodies could not be identified, forcing families to undergo specialized DNA testing to identify their own children."
Ejei pointed to images of school bags and children's drawings belonging to the martyred students as evidence of how "innocent children became victims of war — children who were truly the most oppressed of the oppressed, sacrificed by American criminality and predatory Zionists."
International Silence Enables Further Aggression
The Judiciary Chief warned that global indifference to crimes against Gaza had emboldened aggressors to target other nations.
"When widespread, organized crimes were committed against the people of Gaza, when countless women and children were killed and vast numbers forced from their homes — had international organizations and free people of the world stood against these crimes, the aggressors would not today dare attack another country and take pride in their atrocities," Ejei declared.
He stressed that the international community's silence "creates the conditions for the repetition of such crimes" and warned that "if no one stands against these actions, other countries may be targeted in the future."
Call for Interfaith Unity Against Tyranny
Addressing the assembled religious leaders, Ejei issued an urgent appeal for collective action.
"Let us all join hands to work for the establishment of global peace, tranquility, justice, welfare, and progress for all human beings," he urged. "If nations and religious leaders cooperate and consult with one another, a handful of power-hungry hegemons cannot attack Iraq one day, Afghanistan the next, then Lebanon, Gaza, and Iran — and in the future target still more countries."
He concluded: "We must stand together against the aggressors so that they are put in their place and lasting peace and tranquility are established across the world."

Iran's Ambassador to India, Fathali, opened the session by highlighting the shared civilizational heritage of both nations, calling it "a precious value and opportunity" that should be fully utilized.
