Hawzah News Agency- The event took place on Wednesday in the Martyr Qassem Soleimani conference hall of the holy Jamkaran Mosque in Qom, with the participation of students of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky who are currently pursuing their studies in Islamic seminaries and universities across Iran.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by Ziyarat and supplications. Eulogists and poets then recited panegyrics and devotional poetry in praise of the Holy Prophet and his pure household, filling the gathering with a spiritual atmosphere. The "Abna Ruhollah" choir group also performed a special program, adding to the splendor of the occasion.
Among the spiritual highlights of the ceremony was the presence of the flag of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abolfazl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which was brought to the venue and circulated among attendees, who expressed their devotion to the household of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) by seeking blessings from it.
Hojatoleslam Mohammad Reza Salehi, deputy for cultural and educational affairs at Al-Mustafa International University, attended the ceremony as the special guest and delivered remarks on scientific and educational topics, with particular focus on the issue of Islamic unity.
In his address, Salehi described the students and seminarians of Al-Mustafa University as a symbol of Islamic unity in the world, stating that the institution was established with the aim of creating and strengthening unity among Islamic schools of thought.
Explaining the concept of unity, he said that unity does not mean abandoning one's beliefs and adopting those of another, but rather recognizing the common enemy of Muslims, confronting it collectively, and coming together on the basis of shared principles within the Islamic Ummah.
Salehi outlined three fundamental pillars of unity: the rejection of any deity other than God Almighty and confrontation with tyranny and oppressors; the realization of servitude and obedience solely to God Almighty; and love, empathy and compassion among Muslims.
He cited Martyr Qassem Soleimani as an outstanding model of unity, noting that the late commander was able to bring Shia and Sunni Muslims together in countries such as Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen in the struggle against oppression and terrorism.
The cleric also addressed practical approaches to peaceful coexistence among Muslims despite sectarian differences, referencing the conduct and methodology of prominent scholars, including the late Allama Amini.
Discussing the responsibilities between leaders and followers, Salehi said that among the duties they owe one another is praying for each other, and that followers must remain supportive and obedient to their leader along the path of leadership.
He concluded his remarks by praying for the martyrs of the resistance across various countries and asking for victory and honor for the forces of the resistance.
Following the speech, a question-and-answer competition and sporting contests were held for students and members of the Fodiya School, with prizes awarded to the winners and top performers.
