Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the "Banner of Unity" conference held at the Hazrat Qaem Seminary in Mashhad, Hossein Komili emphasized that the time for theoretical definitions of unity has passed.
"Today, there is no need to provide theoretical definitions of unity, because this concept has materialized and taken concrete form on a global level," he said.
The conference was organized by the Cultural and Social Foundation of Afghans Residing in Iran and attended by a gathering of cultural activists.
Practical Unity Forged in Confrontation
Komili stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran stands in direct confrontation with the enemies of the Islamic world, noting that this shared struggle has produced a practical unity.
"Today we are witnessing a practical unity built upon the fight against a common enemy. This pragmatic approach has made Iran — despite its official Shia identity — the most popular country among many Islamic nations with overwhelming Sunni majorities," he stated.
The researcher pointed to the role of various segments of society, particularly Afghan migrants, in standing alongside the Iranian nation at critical junctures.
"Following the martyrdom of the resistance leaders and the intensification of confrontations, we witnessed heartfelt and fraternal reactions from the people of Afghanistan as well as Afghan migrants residing in Iran. This solidarity with the Iranian people demonstrates a correct understanding of the line that the enemies of Islam seek to sever by sowing division between Shia and Sunni," Komili said.
From Slogan to Battlefield
Citing recent international studies indicating Iran's growing popularity across the Islamic world, the cultural activist asserted that the Islamic Republic has proven its sincerity in defending Muslim interests through action on the battlefield.
"Missiles, drones, and the sacrifice of great commanders in this path have elevated the claim of unity from the level of slogans to the level of practical action," he said.
Komili concluded with a stark warning: "At this juncture in history, standing alongside the resistance front is the primary indicator of understanding the necessity of Muslim unity. Any deviation from this line constitutes a confrontation with the security and interests of the Islamic world."
He reiterated that any action aimed at damaging this unity means playing into the enemy's puzzle to dismantle the region.
