Official Statement of the Office of the Islamic Resistance Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada in the Islamic Republic of Iran
"Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with God; some of them have fulfilled their vow, and others are waiting, and they have not changed in the least." (Holy Quran)
The terrorist, cowardly, and criminal act by the US-led coalition of evil in targeting defenseless pilgrims and visitors to the shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH) has once again laid bare the brutal, arrogant, and anti-human nature of the sworn enemies of the Islamic Ummah.
This horrific and savage tragedy constitutes a flagrant and clear violation of all international laws, human rights conventions, and fundamental principles of humanity and will undoubtedly be met with a decisive, regret-inducing response and severe punishment.
The office of the Islamic Resistance Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada in the Islamic Republic of Iran extends its congratulations and condolences on the ascent of a group of Hussaini pilgrims and devotees to the sacred presence of Imam al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the honorable families of the martyrs, the noble and resilient nation of Iran, and all free people and devotees of the school of Ashura.
Undoubtedly, the purified drops of blood of these exalted martyrs will strengthen the blessed tree of resistance and the continuation of the path of jihad, and the punishment of those who ordered, carried out, and enabled this crime is a certain, inevitable, and near promise.
Today, the American terrorist aggressors, following humiliating battlefield defeats, have crossed all moral red lines and international laws, taking their shamelessness and savagery to new heights.
The cowardly targeting of pilgrims who carry nothing but love for Imam Hussein (PBUH) is clear testimony to the enemy's desperation, fear, and structural impotence in the face of the civilization-building dimensions of the Ashura culture and the unparalleled epic of the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
The contemptible and delusional enemies imagine that by spilling the pure blood of Arbaeen pilgrims, they can diminish the glory, grandeur, and influence of this global and transnational gathering. This is a false and doomed illusion.
The pure blood of these warriors in the path of God will not only fail to diminish the majesty of this luminous path but will redouble the cohesion, authority, and steadfastness of the Islamic Resistance front in uprooting the cancerous tumor of Zionism and expelling the American occupiers from the region.
In conclusion, we declare once again with firmness and unyielding resolve that the organized and ongoing crimes of the United States of America against civilians and Hussaini pilgrims will never go unpunished. The heads of global arrogance and their regional lackeys must await the crushing, harsh, and inescapable consequences of their terrorist actions.
