Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a memorial ceremony organized by Hezbollah for martyr Mohammad Mahdi Ali Souli, held at the Imam Mojtaba (PBUH) complex in the Sin el-Fil district and attended by scholars, dignitaries, martyrs' families, and local residents, the member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc stated that as the enemy intensifies its destruction, demolition, and torching of occupied villages, Lebanese officials continue negotiations as if nothing has happened, speaking of "progress" and "positive aspects" amid escalating Israeli aggression.
Fayyad declared, "It is evident that this ruling authority has abandoned its own people and remains indifferent to the people's suffering and the magnitude of crimes being committed against them by the Israelis." He added that the authority appears numb to criticism and, despite all failures and well-intentioned advice from inside and outside the country—even from its own friends—persists on its path.
He went on to say that the government has no concern beyond satisfying the United States and justifying surrender to Israel in order to destroy the Resistance and disarm it. Meanwhile, the liberation of territory, protection of the people, return of residents to their villages, preservation of Lebanese sovereignty, and internal stability remain hollow slogans in their calculations, holding no practical value or standing whatsoever.
The Resistance MP emphasized that the Lebanese government appears determined to drive the country into an extremely dangerous situation—one in which neither land nor sovereignty is reclaimed, and in which internal stability and Lebanese unity are also lost. "This is exactly what Israel has meticulously planned for, and the Lebanese government has willingly and with full responsibility fallen into it," he said. "For this reason, the problem with this ruling authority has grown immense, bridges of communication with it have been severed, and the possibility of reaching an understanding has become impossible—an outcome that will not end well."
Ali Fayyad asserted that the Resistance, as always, stands ready for all eventualities and options, based on its firm principles regarding the right to defend the homeland, liberate the land, secure the unconditional return of residents to their villages, and uphold the unity of Lebanese society.
Pointing to the 40th-day commemoration of the martyrdom of the honorable martyr Mohammad Mahdi Souli—the third son from this struggling family to be martyred—Fayyad said, "However much we speak of the scale and weight of these sacrifices, such selflessness requires unwavering determination, the patience of Job, and steadfast, unshakeable faith." He described the family of Sayyed Abu Hussein Souli as a shining example of the community of martyrs' families who have lost their homes and possessions and offered their finest sons, noting that this is what gives their path its human value and explains many dimensions of their strength, steadfastness, resistance, and success.
Ali Fayyad added that this is why Hezbollah, despite all the severe blows inflicted upon its secretary general, commanders, and cadres, continued to endure, remained cohesive, recovered, and led major battles against the Israeli enemy.
The Resistance MP stated that Hezbollah, now under the leadership of its Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, is passing through one of the most difficult and complex stages of its history in confronting Israeli and internal threats and dangers. "It is our community which, despite all the harsh conditions it has endured, remains united and steadfast in its commitment to the choice of Resistance," he concluded.
