Massive Mourning Procession in Kargil Bids Farewell to Martyred Imam Khamenei

Thousands of men, women, and children poured into the streets of Kargil in Indian-administered Kashmir for a historic symbolic funeral procession honoring the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Hawzah News Agency- Organized by the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT), the "Farewell to Imam Khamenei" procession drew one of the largest public gatherings in the district's history, reflecting the deep reverence and solidarity of the Kashmiri people with the martyred Leader and the Islamic system he represented.

Coffins, Slogans, and an Outpouring of Grief

The procession began at Zanabia Chowk, wound through Kargil's Main Market, and culminated at Hussaini Park, where a concluding ceremony was held. Participants beat their chests, recited elegies, and raised fierce slogans condemning the United States and the Israeli regime.

Mourners carried symbolic coffins representing Imam Khamenei and members of his family, whom organizers and participants described as having been martyred together during the war.

A Pledge to Uphold the Path of Resistance

Addressing the crowd at Hussaini Park, speakers paid tribute to the life, leadership, and legacy of the martyred Imam, underscoring his unwavering commitment to justice, dignity, and the unity of the Muslim Ummah. They called on the faithful to remain united and steadfast in upholding these ideals.

In a powerful display of continuity, participants publicly pledged their allegiance to Imam Mujtaba Khamenei as the next leader of the Muslim Ummah and reaffirmed their commitment to the principles of unity, justice, resistance against oppression, and unwavering support for the oppressed.

Organizers expressed deep gratitude to the people of Kargil for their overwhelming participation and thanked volunteers, the local administration, and all concerned departments for ensuring the procession was conducted peacefully and orderly.
