Hawzah News Agency- The African Studies Center affiliated with the department organized the gatherings as part of its outreach programs aimed at spreading the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in various countries across the African continent.
The head of the outreach unit at the center, Mr. Muslim Al-Jabri, said: "The center held 20 mourning assemblies during the first ten days of the month of Muharram, distributed across 14 African countries."
He added that "the councils were established in the Republic of Malawi, the Republic of Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, the Republic of Benin, Senegal, Chad, Ghana, Guinea, the Republic of Mali, Cameroon, the Republic of Niger, and the Republic of Madagascar''.
He explained that "these gatherings witnessed a wide attendance from the lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and included religious lectures that addressed the goals of the Hussaini uprising and its reformative and humanitarian values''.
These activities are part of a series of outreach programs implemented by the African Studies Center, aimed at reviving the Hussaini rituals and enhancing communication with communities and lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in various African countries.
