Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Sheikh Hammam Hamoudi, President of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, declared the fatwa of sufficiency jihad issued by the religious authority to be "divine inspiration," noting that Hashd al-Sha'abi embodies the "project of the Marjaiyah."
Speaking during a dialogue session, Sheikh Hammam Hamoudi stated: "The fatwa of sufficiency jihad was divine inspiration granted to a courageous Marjaiyah, through which a clear vision for the future was forged. The fatwa brought security out of catastrophe, ease out of hardship, and unity and victory out of division."
He added: "Daesh is a Zionist project. In the crimes this group committed in Speicher and other areas, the black face of tyrants such as Hitler, Netanyahu, Saddam, the Baath Party, as well as the school of murder, chauvinism and terrorism, became manifest."
Sheikh Hamoudi further expressed gratitude to Grand Ayatollah Sistani, whose fatwa saved the nation, and paid tribute to the people who responded to the call with their true Iraqi conscience. He thanked all those who contributed to ending the most vile project that targeted the very existence of the Iraqi nation, sought to dismantle the Islamic Ummah, and aimed to distort the image of Islam.
The President of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq stressed that through its sacrifices, courage, and steadfastness in faith, Hashd al-Sha'abi achieved victories and accomplishments over the course of three years that are now being studied abroad—after the world had presumed the battle could drag on for decades.
He asserted: "Hashd al-Sha'abi must remain the project of the Marjaiyah so that Iraq can be free, independent, and its people live with dignity, safeguarded from partisan domination and politicization."
Sheikh Hamoudi expressed hope that the Hashd al-Sha'abi organization would remain exactly as Grand Ayatollah Sistani envisioned it, as the people placed their trust in it, and as is expected of it—maintaining the highest level of training, a sense of responsibility, and full cooperation with other security forces.
He also warned: "The uncovering of a Baathist cell that sought to target the head of the National Security Apparatus and senior officers confirms that the Baathist project has not ended. Our people must remain vigilant, for their enemy continues to lie in wait."
