Baalbek Rally Declares Gratitude, Loyalty to Islamic Republic of Iran

Massive solidarity gathering in Baalbek draws crowds of resistance supporters, political figures, and religious leaders in a powerful show of allegiance to Iran and condemnation of aggression against Lebanon.

Hawzah News Agency– The Lebanese city of Baalbek has witnessed a massive solidarity rally, as crowds of resistance supporters, alongside prominent political, social, and religious figures from the region, gathered to declare their gratitude and unwavering loyalty to the Islamic Republic of Iran. The event unfolded in an atmosphere electrified with slogans in support of the resistance and Iran, and in fierce condemnation of aggression against Lebanon and the Islamic Republic.

'Steadfastness Is the Only Path to Deterrence'

Addressing the crowd, Baalbek Municipality Chief Ahmad al-Tufayli stressed that steadfastness and resilience remain the sole path to deterrence in the face of aggression.

"This courageous persistence and this noble stance are precisely what will compel the enemy to submit," al-Tufayli said, "especially after the myth of invincibility surrounding the world's most powerful armies has been shattered. By the blessing of this firm position, a ceasefire will be imposed on terms that preserve the dignity of the Ummah and its aspirations."

'Iran Fulfilled Its Promise'

Sheikh Fadi Sakrieh, spokesman for the Support the Resistance Current, hailed Iran's historic role, declaring that the Islamic Republic of Iran had fulfilled its promise and translated it into action.

"Iran remained true to the slogan raised at the very inception of this blessed revolution: 'Step by step toward Quds' – a slogan whose echo continues to resound to this day," Sheikh Sakrieh stated.

He also took aim at voices critical of this alliance, citing the Quranic verse, "And cooperate in righteousness and piety."

"Is not repelling oppression, striving in the path of God, confronting the enemies of humanity, and offering blood in the cause of truth among the highest ranks of righteousness and piety?" he asked. "We cooperate with these people in good, while others engage in sin and aggression."

'The "War of Others on Our Land" Narrative Is Baseless'

Sheikh Tamer Hamzeh, head of Preaching and Activities at Hezbollah, forcefully rejected opposing political narratives that claim the resistance is fighting for Iran's interests.

"Some claim we are defending Iran's interests and propagate that what is unfolding is 'the war of others on our land.' These claims are completely false and baseless," Sheikh Hamzeh declared. "Objective reality shows that Iran has defended Lebanon both militarily and politically."

He pointed to the outcomes of the diplomatic track, adding: "Iran sought to ensure Lebanon was present at the negotiating table as a fundamental party. The Islamic Republic managed to secure a major political and diplomatic victory over the Zionists – a victory that, in its dimensions, surpasses the military triumph achieved against American fleets and forces in the region and the Persian Gulf."

'Lebanon Negotiates with the Cards of the Powerful'

Sheikh Hamzeh further underscored Iran's steadfast solidarity with Lebanon.

"Iran stood by Lebanon. When the southern suburbs of Dahieh were struck, Tel Aviv and Haifa were targeted, and Lebanon became the first item on the negotiating table," he said. "This is the negotiation of the brave and the powerful – those who hold the real cards of strength."

He contrasted this with alternative approaches, stating: "While some call for direct negotiations with the enemy under American supervision, Lebanon today negotiates relying on its principal card of power – the Islamic Resistance – and with the backing of all free and honorable people, foremost among them the Islamic Republic of Iran."
