Hojatoleslam Ali Fereshteh, an Indian cleric, along with other scholars and prominent figures, stressed the necessity of continuing Imam Khomeini's path and keeping the message of Ghadir alive.
Other speakers at the ceremony pointed to the deep connection between the message of Ghadir — which signifies the divine appointment of Imam Ali (PBUH) as the Prophet's successor — and the ideals of Imam Khomeini. They emphasized that devotion to the principle of Wilayah (guardianship), unity of the Islamic Ummah, and the pursuit of justice are the most important common threads binding these two great religious and historical occasions.
