Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a gathering of Muharram missionaries for the year 1448 AH, held at the Aftab-e-Wilayat seminary complex in the city of Mashhad, Hojatoleslam Sayyid Hasan Askari Naqvi, a Pakistani student of Al-Mustafa International University, shared his field experiences in propagation and underscored the critical duty of explaining the achievements of the Islamic Revolution.
Countering Enemy Propaganda: Live Broadcast from Holy Shrine Shattered False Narrative
Highlighting the enemy's relentless media onslaught against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Askari Naqvi pointed to the 12-day conflict, during which hostile media outlets and networks sought to portray Iran as being in a state of crisis and insecurity by disseminating distorted images and reports.
"At that time, certain images of burning tires were circulated in such a way that foreign audiences were led to believe that the holy shrine of Imam Reza (Peace be upon him) or other key centers in the country had come under attack," he stated.
The Pakistani missionary revealed that in response to widespread concern in Pakistan, he conducted a live broadcast directly from the holy shrine of Imam Reza via social media, demonstrating the full security and tranquility prevailing in Mashhad, with pilgrims and residents present without any disturbance whatsoever. "This very action provoked a reaction from certain hostile currents, as they were striving to project an image of chaos and insecurity inside Iran," he added.
Missionaries Must Expose Realities of Islamic Iran Alongside Ahl al-Bayt Teachings
Emphasizing the role of missionaries in the jihad of clarification, Askari Naqvi said that seminarians and preachers dispatched to various countries must, while relating the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace be upon them), also clarify the realities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the accomplishments of the Islamic Revolution for the people.
"In countries like Pakistan and India, gatherings held in the name of the Commander of the Faithful (Peace be upon him) provide a suitable platform for conveying these messages, and missionaries must seize this opportunity," he noted.
Iranian Nation Displayed Calm, Cohesion Amid Wartime Conditions
Comparing the situation in war-affected regions, the Pakistani cleric observed that war zones typically witness a surge in public stress and anxiety, scarcity of essential goods, and a prevailing sense of insecurity among the population. "During the recent war, the Iranian nation demonstrated that they enjoy calm and cohesion, and no serious shortage in meeting the people's needs materialized," he said.
He further noted that in many countries around the world, even during the coronavirus pandemic, basic commodities vanished from markets, yet the management of the Islamic Republic ensured that life continued with normalcy even under wartime conditions.
Public Presence on the Scene, Sign of National Authority and Public Trust
Askari Naqvi pointed to the massive presence of the people in various social arenas as a testament to national strength. "In many countries, when war breaks out, people do not leave their homes or are overcome by fear and anxiety. In Iran, however, we witnessed the broad participation of different segments of society," he stated. He stressed that even the elderly, the sick, and those with physical disabilities were present on the scene, reflecting the people's trust in the Islamic establishment and their spirit of resistance.
Enmity Toward Islamic Republic Rooted in Hostility Toward School of Ahl al-Bayt
The Pakistani preacher asserted that the global arrogance's hostility toward Iran is not merely political in nature. "The enemies have repeatedly declared that their problem is with the Shia identity and the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace be upon them)," he said.
Drawing parallels with history, Askari Naqvi stated that just as enmity was directed at the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (Peace be upon him), and the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace be upon them) throughout history, the same currents are today confronting the followers of this school in new forms. He cited historical tragedies from the events following the passing of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him), the tragedy of Ashura, the martyrdom of the Pure Imams, and the captivity of the household of the Ahl al-Bayt, emphasizing that hostility toward Wilayah and the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt has a long history and persists in various arenas today.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran today stands as the symbol of defending Islamic values, Wilayah, and the school of the Ahl al-Bayt in the contemporary world," he declared, calling on all those committed to the Wilayah of Imam Ali (Peace be upon him) to safeguard this divine blessing and convey the message of the Islamic Revolution to other nations.
Missionaries' Crucial Duty: Exposing Iran's Security, Authority During Muharram
Addressing the dispatched missionaries directly, Askari Naqvi stated that one of the most important duties of preachers today is to elucidate the security, authority, and successes of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of the enemy's hybrid warfare. "The enemies have repeatedly announced that they intended to achieve their goals by fomenting internal unrest, but the unity of the people and the wise leadership of the Islamic establishment neutralized these conspiracies," he said.
Commending the Islamic Republic's conduct in the military and humanitarian arenas, he noted that even enemy media outlets were forced to acknowledge that Iran observed humanitarian and ethical principles in confronting the adversary. "While the enemy targeted medical centers, mosques, and civilian infrastructure, the Islamic Republic consistently endeavored to prevent harm to civilians and issued necessary warnings prior to operations," he added.
In his concluding remarks, the Pakistani missionary stated that the justice-based, ethical, and humane conduct of the Islamic Republic has led many people across the globe, who previously lacked deep familiarity with the school of the Ahl al-Bayt, to develop an interest in Shia teachings. He stressed the necessity of continuing the jihad of elucidation and accurately introducing the Islamic Revolution and the school of the Ahl al-Bayt on the international stage.
