Iraqi President Hails Late Grand Ayatollah Fayyadh as Beacon of Coexistence, Brotherhood

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi has offered his condolences on the passing of Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Ishaq Fayyadh, hailing the late religious authority as a voice of moderation and unity.

Hawzah News Agency- In a statement, President Amedi said, "It is with the deepest sorrow and grief that we received the news of the passing of religious authority Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Ishaq Fayyadh. The late scholar spent his noble life in service to faith, knowledge, and society, dedicating his blessed years to spreading the values of moderation, tolerance, and virtue, nurturing generations of scholars and researchers, and contributing to the consolidation of social peace and national unity."

The Iraqi president described the deceased as a scholarly and spiritual figure, and one of the most prominent pillars of the seminary. "He was known for his wisdom, moderation, and his stances calling for peaceful coexistence and brotherhood among the sons of the homeland. He leaves behind a rich scholarly and jurisprudential legacy that will remain a beacon for future generations."

"In this painful loss," Amedi added, "we extend our condolences to the esteemed family of the departed, the supreme religious authority in holy Najaf, the religious scholars, the seminary students, and all the people of the nation. We reverently recall his fruitful path, filled with generosity, sacrifice, and service to humanity. We pray to God Almighty to envelop him in His vast mercy and eternal paradise, and to grant his admirers, students, and survivors patience and solace. Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return."
