Hawzah News Agency- The meeting, aimed at redefining and elevating research cooperation between the two nations, heralds a new chapter in engagement between Iranian and Iraqi humanities universities.
According to the report, the primary focus of the talks centered on identifying emerging capacities for trilateral cooperation among Iran’s Ministry of Science, Baqir al-Olum University, and Iraqi academic centers. The objective is to establish a sustainable platform for knowledge exchange and the transfer of scientific expertise—one that can bolster the standing of both countries within the region's academic landscape.
One of the key outcomes agreed upon during the meeting was the planning of a "Joint Science Week" between top-tier humanities universities of Iran and Iraq. The event, regarded as a symbol of the knowledge-based bond between the two nations, will serve as a platform for elite synergy, the holding of free-thinking chairs, and the articulation of shared horizons on pressing issues in the humanities.
Organizers expressed hope that continued consultations will elevate Iran's scientific diplomacy in Iraq beyond ceremonial visits, leading to joint research projects and student exchanges at the postgraduate level. Such steps, they noted, would pave the way for science-based solutions to emerging regional challenges, drawing on indigenous and Islamic capacities.
