Hawzah News Agency- Sheikh Ibrahim Yaqoub Zakzaky delivered an address at the unveiling ceremony of the book "Biography of the Martyr Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei" held in Tehran.
Speaking at the event, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, pointed to the vast dimensions of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's personality and struggles, stating: "To speak of his struggles is to enter an immensely vast arena that cannot be contained in a short time."
He added: "From the very beginning of his life, he was on the path of struggle in the way of God, and he was raised in a family of knowledge and virtue."
Touching upon Ayatollah Khamenei's scholarly and combative background, he said: "He grew up in the embrace of a religious family and was among the distinguished students of Imam Khomeini. During the Pahlavi regime, he was arrested and imprisoned multiple times due to his active presence on the frontlines of struggle."
Stating that Ayatollah Khamenei became one of the most influential figures and key pillars of the Islamic system after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria asserted: "The enemies of the Islamic Revolution sought to halt the movement by eliminating key personalities, and for this reason, he too was targeted in an assassination attempt."
Referring to Ayatollah Khamenei's selection as the successor following the passing of Imam Khomeini, Sheikh Zakzaky noted: "Despite his spirit of humility and initial reluctance, the Assembly of Experts firmly deemed him the most qualified individual to continue this weighty responsibility, and the guidance of the Islamic Revolution continued under his leadership."
In the concluding part of his address, Sheikh Zakzaky, while paying tribute to the scholarly, spiritual, and combative character of Ayatollah Khamenei, emphasized his continued loyalty to this path, stating that he would remain on the path of leadership and carry this way forward.
He further expressed hope that the path charted by Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei would endure, and that the Islamic Ummah, in the light of this path, would attain dignity and elevation.
