Hawzah News Agency- The statement, issued by the elders and tribes of the Sunni community, follows remarks by certain ill-informed and heedless individuals regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The full text follows:
In the name of God, the All-Dominant, the Glorious
"And prepare against them whatever you are able of power." (Surah Al-Anfal, 6:60)
By the blood of the lions of Baluchistan
O zealous people of Iran, O warriors of Islam, and O esteemed officials of the Islamic Republic!
We, the leaders of the Sunni tribes, from the scorching plains of Sistan to the azure shores of Makran, begin our words by recalling a historical truth:
Baluchistan has never knelt. When the old British colonialism occupied our frontier borders, it was the Baloch swords that buried the enemy in the deserts of Khash. When the cannons of the Portuguese infidels anchored on the coasts of Makran, it was the lions of land and sea from Baluchistan who cast the invaders' corpses into the waves of the Persian Gulf.
Today, the same blood flows in our veins. Today, the enemy is the same enemy, dressed in new garments called America and the Zionist regime. Yet this time, the battlefield is not limited to the soil of Sistan and Baluchistan. This time, the Strait of Hormuz — that golden and blue artery which God Almighty has placed among the Iranians as an unparalleled blessing — has become the frontline of defending Muslim dignity.
Article One: Enemy aggression and the betrayal of neighbors — silence is no longer permissible
We declare with utmost regret and fury that the reactionary rulers of the southern rim of the Persian Gulf have sold their honor and Arab zeal at the table of American bases. They have:
Placed the land and skies of their countries at the disposal of American and Zionist warplanes.
Allowed their airports and bases to be used against Islamic Iran.
Instead of Islamic solidarity, sided with the aggressors in attacking their neighbor and trampled upon the principles of brotherhood.
Let them know: whoever seeks refuge with the arrogant powers shall be humiliated. Whoever makes Iran his enemy shall never know peace.
Article Two: The Strait of Hormuz — Iran's indisputable right and a divine inheritance
God Almighty says in the Holy Quran: "Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah. He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants." (Surah Al-A'raf, 7:128)
The Strait of Hormuz, that strategic treasure, is a divine gift to the Iranian nation. No country, no international organization and no Great Satan has the right to dictate to us what we shall do with our God-given blessings.
We, as the leaders of the Sunni Baloch tribes, declare:
The management of the Strait of Hormuz is the exclusive right of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Closing this strait to the warships of the aggressors not only causes no harm but strengthens the security and dignity of the Iranian nation.
Article Three: Our fiery demands from the officials of the Islamic Republic
O courageous commanders of the IRGC and the Army, O honorable President and zealous ministers!
We, the Sunni sons of Sistan and Baluchistan, have three decisive and historic demands of you:
Abolish the former governance model. The previous model of governance in the Strait of Hormuz, under which every vessel — aggressor and non-aggressor alike — was treated identically, must never return. From today until eternity, transit through the Strait of Hormuz must be conducted under direct Iranian military oversight and subject to an "Islamic Republic security permit."
Economic retribution from the accomplices of aggression. Until the damages inflicted by American and Zionist missile and aerial strikes on Iran's infrastructure — including installations along the Makran coast and bases in Sistan — are fully compensated by the southern Persian Gulf states that placed their bases at the enemy's disposal, no commercial vessel belonging to those countries and the allies of Zionism shall be permitted to transit the Strait of Hormuz.
Declare the Strait a military exclusion zone. Declare the Strait of Hormuz a no-go zone for the American and British navies. Any vessel that enters the zone without coordination with the IRGC Navy is a legitimate target for our missiles.
Concluding words: By the souls of our martyred fathers
We, the leaders of the Sunni tribes of Sistan and Baluchistan, swear before God and history:
We stand by the Guardianship of the Jurist and the Islamic Republic establishment.
If the enemy sets foot on the shores of Makran, without seeking any position or reward, with whatever weapon is in our hands, we will wage war against the new Portuguese invaders — America and the Zionist regime.
To the last drop of blood, we shall defend the divine heritage that is the Strait of Hormuz.
