Three People Deserving of Mercy

Hadith of the Day is a daily feature highlighting timeless sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the Ahlul-Bayt (pbut), offering insights into faith, ethics, and spirituality for contemporary life.

Hawzah News Agency- Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Saffar, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from al-Hasan ibn Mahbub, from Abd Allah ibn Sinan, who said: I heard Imam Sadiq (pbuh) saying:

Indeed, I have mercy on three types of people, and they truly deserve to be shown mercy:

1. A noble person who suffers humiliation after nobility,

2. A wealthy person who suffers poverty after wealth, and

3. A scholar who is belittled by his people and the ignorant.

Al-Khisal,Book 3,Hadith 18
