Hawzah News Agency- Shaikh al-Saduq narrated from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) who narrated from Sa’d ibn Abd Allah, from Ahmad ibn Abi Abd Allah, from Abu al-Qasim Abd al-Rahman ibn Hammad, from Abu Imran Amr ibn Mus’ab al-Arzami, from Abu Hamzah al-Thumali, who said: I heard Imam Baqir (pbuh) saying:
The servant is in three states: affliction, destiny, and blessing. Upon him regarding affliction from Allah, patience is an obligation; upon him regarding the destiny by Allah, submission is an obligation; and upon him regarding the blessing from Allah, Mighty and Majestic, gratitude is an obligation.
