Foreign Policy: Ayatollah Khamenei Was "An Ayatollah for the Aggrieved"

The American magazine Foreign Policy wrote in an analysis: After the martyrdom of the leader of the Islamic Republic, many people around the world rose up in support of Ayatollah Khamenei. Iran has succeeded in gaining Sunni support beyond sectarian boundaries.

Hawzah News Agency- Foreign Policy magazine, in an article titled "An Ayatollah for the Aggrieved" by Umar Farooq, has analyzed the status of Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the Islamic world.

The report states: "For Sunnis who lean toward Iran, the concept of resistance has still maintained its appeal''. The author emphasizes that the Islamic Republic system has tried to rally the Islamic world as a force against Western domination, and has succeeded in this path.

Foreign Policy writes: "After the martyrdom of the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, many people gathered in various parts of the world in support of Ayatollah Khamenei." According to the magazine, when Iran stands against Israel and the United States, this image is reinforced among Muslims worldwide, making them believe that as a global community they are capable of defending themselves.

The analysis continues: International supporters see Iran as their representative that has waged a long war and has now emerged victorious by forcing the US and Israel into a ceasefire.
