Hawzah News Agency- Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad narrated from Abu al-Abbas al-Sarraj who narrated from Abd Allah ibn Umar, who narrated from Waki’ ibn al-Jarrah, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Khaythamah, from Abd Allah that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh and his family) said:
لَا سَمْرَ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَهِ إِلَّا لِأَحَدِ رَجُلَیْنِ مُصَلٍّ أَوْ مُسَافِرٍ.
It is not permissible to stay awake after the Isha prayer, except for someone who is praying or is on a traveler.
