Ramadan War offers hope for end to Westoxification: scholar

Hawzah News Agency- The arrogant Western world uses two dangerous tools to subjugate nations and civilizations: flaunting its military might and technological power, and — in the words of former British Prime Minister Churchill — exploiting traitors infiltrated into governmental structures. In effect, the "Westoxified" dry up the spirit of resistance by exaggerating America's military and economic power, magnifying the enemy's hollow strength.

Hojatoleslam Shokrian Amoli, a professor at Qom's Islamic seminary, writes in a piece titled "Ramadan War, Hope for the End of Westoxification":

The historic war between Iran and the US-Israeli front has entered its second month, with battles raging on multiple fronts. But what is heard today amid the roar of bombs and missiles existed before — even more destructive and dangerous — with one difference: the invisible bombs and missiles before the Ramadan War did not come from F-35s or naval missiles, but from the throats, pens, and shouts of the American and Zionist apologists in newspapers, magazines, cinema, home video, and anywhere else minds could be stolen in favor of the rapacious beast-like plunderers.

The arrogant West employs two dangerous levers to bring nations and civilizations to their knees. The first is showcasing its military dominance and technological prowess. The second, as noted by British Prime Minister, is treacherous individuals embedded within governmental structures. The Westoxified drain the will to resist by exaggerating America's military and economic power, magnifying the enemy's illusory strength.

For years, this contaminated current of thought has spread across Iran like a malignant cancer, steering the nation's strength and capability toward weakness and incapacity. The Islamic Revolution managed to break America's claw and cut its hand from the country's wealth. Yet those who continued to see America as their ultimate aspiration became obstacles to progress, striking a chord of despair. Tragically, the motto of many so-called artists, actors, economists, sociologists, diplomats, academics, and countless others was "We cannot" — a slogan that placed roadblocks in the path of the Islamic Revolution's civilizational movement.

The Ramadan War must put an end to the unbridled influence of this mindset over the nation's destiny. There must be no renewed reliance on their unhealthy, childish intellectual currents, which only serve to demoralize the people toward the Islamic establishment. This war must be seen as the end of the Westoxified current's fantasies. The JCPOA and the negotiations before and after it with the US and the West were merely a means to undermine the authority of a great, united Iran. A slap in the face of American imperialism, without turning away from the putrid thoughts of domestic Westoxified elements and without putting an end to their economic, political, social, and monetary prescriptions, will not achieve its full effect.

It is hoped that America's crimes and treacheries will finally open the eyes of the blind Westoxified political current, and that aligning with the Islamic establishment and following the decrees of the school of the two Imams of the Revolution will become the guiding principle of their future actions — leading ultimately to a blessed outcome.
