Hawzah News Agency- In a powerful statement issued on Monday, the Society of Seminary Scholars of Qom extended its condolences over the martyrdom of Senior Commander Brigadier General Alireza Tangsiri, affirming that his sacrifice will forever shatter the dreams of foreign forces seeking to dominate the Strait of Hormuz.
“The blood of Martyr Tangsiri and his valiant comrades will undoubtedly add to the grandeur and honor of the Islamic Republic,” the statement read. “It will turn the enemies’ dream of crossing the Strait of Hormuz and running roughshod over the Persian Gulf into a bitter nightmare.”
General Tangsiri, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy, was martyred while carrying out his sacred duty to safeguard Iran’s territorial integrity and ensure the nation’s firm dominance over the strategic waterway.
Citing the Holy Quran (Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 23), the Society praised the late commander as a righteous man who “fulfilled his pledge” to God, lauding his decades of courageous and unwavering service in defending Iran’s maritime borders.
The message further extended condolences to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mujtaba Khamenei, the noble Iranian nation, and all comrades of the fallen hero, emphasizing that the martyrdom of such steadfast defenders only reinforces Iran’s resolve and sovereignty in the face of external threats.
