Hawzah News Agency- In a message delivered to the Seventh International Conference on Holy Quds, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi stressed that the Palestinian cause remains unforgotten and paramount for the Muslim world.
Addressing the gathering organized by the Qademoun World Assembly, the senior cleric framed the ongoing struggle as a battle against global Zionist hegemony and American aggression toward the Islamic world.
"The resistance axis is standing firm against global Zionist domination," Ayatollah Arafi stated, describing this resistance as a pivotal moment in contemporary Islamic history.
He condemned what he characterized as crimes by the Israeli regime and its Western backers, accusing them of flagrant violations of international law and human rights while attempting to deceive global public opinion with hollow slogans.
The cleric directed sharp criticism toward certain Islamic governments, expressing dismay that some provide logistical support enabling attacks on fellow Muslim nations.
"What disgrace for Islamic countries that provide facilities to the enemy to attack other Muslims, kill children and women, and destroy crops and generations during this blessed month," he said.
Citing Quranic authority, Ayatollah Arafi affirmed the legitimate right of the Islamic Republic and Muslim nations to self-defense against aggression, declaring: "With faith in God, the Almighty, we have decided to confront and resist through launching our honorable battle against aggression."
On the domestic front, the cleric addressed the recent selection of a new leader by the Assembly of Experts, describing the choice of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei as a continuation of the path established by the late Leader. He renewed his pledge of allegiance to the new Leadership while thanking nations that have stood with Iran during difficult days.
Key Principles Affirmed
The cleric outlined several fundamental positions regarding Palestine and regional resistance:
• Divine tradition dictates that oppression will not endure, with occupiers destined to leave Palestine and the Al-Aqsa Mosque to be liberated.
• Palestine belongs to its people, with occupiers required to withdraw completely from the territory.
• Jihad against Zionist-American aggression extends beyond the Islamic Republic, encompassing all resistance groups engaged in this sacred struggle.
• Praise was offered to Islamic resistance movements in Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, and Yemen, with prayers for their martyrs.
• All Islamic nations were invited to participate in the blessed jihad against occupying Zionism and arrogant America for the liberation of Palestine.
• While Iran considers Persian Gulf states as brothers, it objects to their territory and airspace being used as launch pads for American and Israeli aggression, warning that any country permitting attacks on Iran from its soil will see its bases become legitimate targets for Iranian armed forces.
• Reaffirming unwavering allegiance to the nation's wise leadership, the message declared: "We will never accept surrender, and today we continue our Ashura battle against American-Zionist aggression, whatever the cost."
Ayatollah Arafi concluded with confidence that ultimate victory belongs to the front of truth and resistance, praying for the success and honor of all those engaged in this path.
