Hawzah News Agency- In a post on his X account on Sunday, Ghalibaf cited US President Donald Trump’s past claim that oil prices wouldn’t rise, saying, “Now that they have, Trump says they’ll soon fall.”
“If the war continues, no path remains for oil sales, nor capacity for production. Not only US interests, but regional and global ones, burn under Netanyahu’s delusions,” he added.
The United States and Israel launched a war of aggression against Iran on February 28, assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and top Iranian military commanders.
In response, Iran has targeted Israeli and US positions across the region with missiles and drones. The passage of oil tankers through the strategic Strait of Hormuz has also been effectively halted as a consequence of the war.
