Far more than a seasonal religious occasion, the gathering underscored the deep human and spiritual bonds that connect Muslims in Taiwan with the wider global community.
As the largest and oldest mosque in Taiwan, Taipei Grand Mosque served as the focal point of this unifying event. Its halls and courtyards welcomed hundreds of fasting worshippers from across Asia, Africa, and Europe. The large crowds were marked by remarkable organization and discipline, reflecting a strong sense of communal awareness and shared responsibility.
The event reaffirmed the mosque’s central role as both a religious and social institution. Beyond serving resident Muslims, it also provides a spiritual home for students, workers, and visitors who find in it a space that nurtures faith, solidarity, and mutual support.
