Al-Abbas Shrine Delegation Showcases Cultural and Religious Initiatives at Tehran Quran Exhibition

Servants of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas ibn Ali (PBUH) are participating in the international section of the 33rd International Holy Quran Exhibition in Tehran, introducing visitors to the diverse cultural, religious, and humanitarian activities carried out by the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine in Karbala.

Hawzah News Agency- Their presence has created a unique spiritual connection for attendees, allowing them not only to learn about the shrine’s initiatives but also to entrust personal written messages addressed to Imam Mahdi (PBUH).

According to organizers, these messages will be transferred to the Iraqi city of Karbala and placed inside the sacred shrine of Hazrat Abbas ibn Ali (PBUH) upon the delegation’s return.

A Spiritual Bridge Between Tehran and Karbala

The Al-Abbas Shrine booth has drawn considerable attention within the exhibition’s international pavilion, where shrine representatives engage directly with visitors, respond to inquiries, and receive expressions of devotion.

Copies of Qurans housed in the shrine are also on display, alongside the shrine’s ceremonial flag — a powerful symbol of reverence for millions of devotees worldwide.

Visitors are invited to write personal reflections, prayers, and messages, which are collected by the shrine’s servants and later placed inside the sacred enclosure in Karbala.

Cultural Outreach Beyond Borders

The participation of the Al-Abbas (PBUH) Shrine reflects broader efforts to strengthen transnational religious ties and deepen cultural and spiritual engagement among Muslim communities.

By facilitating this symbolic exchange, organizers aim to bring the spiritual atmosphere of Karbala closer to exhibition visitors in Tehran.

The 33rd International Holy Quran Exhibition remains open to the public daily from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla through March 5.
