Islamic Relief kicks off Ramadan food packs for over 500,000 people in 34 countries

The humanitarian organization Islamic Relief Worldwide has launched its annual Ramadan food distribution campaign, delivering food assistance to more than 500,000 vulnerable people across 34 countries.

Hawzah News Agency- The initiative aims to support families struggling with poverty, conflict, displacement and rising food prices during the holy month of Ramadan. Food packs typically include essential staples such as rice, flour, cooking oil, sugar and other basic items designed to sustain families throughout the month.

According to the organization, the program prioritizes communities affected by humanitarian crises, including regions facing war, economic instability and climate-related disasters. Islamic Relief said the campaign is part of its broader efforts to address food insecurity and provide emergency relief to those most in need.

Officials emphasized that Ramadan is a time of solidarity and generosity, and the annual distribution reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities worldwide.

Islamic Relief Worldwide, headquartered in the United Kingdom, operates in more than 40 countries and implements a range of humanitarian and development projects, including food assistance, healthcare, education and emergency response programs.
