Pakistan President Congratulates Iran on 47th Anniversary of Islamic Revolution

Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his congratulations to Iran on the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, underscoring the deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between Tehran and Islamabad and voicing hope for expanded bilateral cooperation.

Hawzah News Agency- In a message delivered during a ceremony held in Islamabad to mark the anniversary, Zardari conveyed his felicitations to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Iran’s president, and the Iranian nation.

He emphasized that relations between Pakistan and the Iran are founded on centuries-old bonds of shared history, language, culture, and geography. “The ties between our two brotherly nations are anchored in mutual respect and common values,” he said, noting that bilateral relations have steadily strengthened over the years.

The Pakistani president described the Islamic Revolution as a pivotal development in the contemporary history of the region, adding that cooperation between Islamabad and Tehran has contributed to regional dialogue and connectivity.

Zardari expressed optimism that the spirit of brotherhood and collaboration between Pakistan and Iran will continue to expand in the years ahead. He highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation in trade, energy, border security, and people-to-people exchanges, saying such efforts would play a constructive role in promoting stability and prosperity for both nations and the wider region.

He further stressed the need for closer coordination in addressing shared challenges, including economic development and regional security, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Tehran on the basis of mutual interests.

The ceremony in Islamabad was attended by Pakistani officials, diplomats, members of parliament, and representatives of the Iranian community, reflecting what speakers described as the enduring friendship between the two neighboring countries.
