Jammu and Kashmir Sharia Association Strongly Condemns European Interference in Iran's Internal Affairs

In an official statement, Hojatoleslam Sayyed Hassan Mousavi Safavi, President of the Sharia Association of Shia Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir, vehemently condemned the decision of the European Union to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a "terrorist" organization. Hawzah News Agency – In an official statement, Hojatoleslam Sayyed Hassan Moosavi Safavi, President of the Sharia Association of Shia Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir, vehemently condemned the decision of the European Union to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a so-called "terrorist" organization. He described the move as a blatant action against the national sovereignty and dignity of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In his statement, Safavi emphasized that this decision reflects political alignment with the policies of the United States and the Zionist regime, rather than any legal basis, and constitutes a clear disregard for the real terrorism faced by the Palestinian people.

He further asserted that the EU's action represents not only explicit interference in Iran's internal affairs and a direct assault on one of its official and legal defense institutions, but also demonstrates clear complicity and alignment with the policies of the United States and the Zionist regime—policies that have for years been linked to oppression, occupation, repression, and genocide against the Palestinian nation.

Referring to recent regional developments, Safavi stated: "The world today is clearly witnessing the true face of state terrorism in Gaza and throughout occupied Palestine, where women, children, and defenseless civilians are targeted by the Zionist regime's relentless and criminal attacks, carried out with full political, military, and financial support from the United States and the meaningful silence of self-proclaimed human rights advocates in the West."

The prominent religious scholar further clarified: "This decision by the European Union is a clear sign of blind adherence to the policies of the United States and the Zionist regime—the same powers that have turned a blind eye to the genocide of the Palestinian people, yet target the defense institution of an independent country under the pretext of human rights and justice."

Emphasizing the nature and role of the IRGC, he said: "The IRGC is an institution born from the heart of the Iranian nation, entrusted with defending national security, independence, Islamic values, and supporting oppressed nations. No external power can undermine the legitimate status of this popular defense institution through political labeling, nor can it violate Iran's national sovereignty."

In conclusion, the President of the Sharia Association of Shia Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir added: "The demands of truth and justice require that real terrorism be correctly identified and exposed. True terrorism lies with those states and powers that commit organized crime, massacre, and oppression against innocent people in Palestine, not with institutions that stand in defense of their land and people."
