Hawzah News Agency- Shaykh al‑Saduq narrated that his father narrated from Muhammad ibn Yahya al‑Attar, from Ahmad and Abd Allah, the two sons of Muhammad ibn Isa, from Ali ibn al‑Hakam, from Sayf ibn Amirah, from al‑Mufaddal ibn Mazid that Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:
أَنْهَاکَ عَنْ خَصْلَتَیْنِ فِیهِمَا هُلْکُ الرِّجَالِ أَنْ تَدِینَ اللَّهَ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَ تُفْتِیَ النَّاسَ بِمَا لَا تَعْلَمُ.
I forbid you from two traits in which lies the destruction of men:
1.That you practice religion based on falsehood,
2.And that you issue religious verdicts to people about what you do not know.
