Hawzah News Agency- Sheikh Naim Qassem made the remarks during a televised speech at a ceremony in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Saturday evening, marking the sixth anniversary of the US assassination of General Soleimani and his Iraqi companion Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
“General Soleimani rose rapidly through various positions due to his exceptional qualities. He possessed remarkable military competence and was constantly engaged in training and instruction'', he stated.
Sheikh Qassem noted that Gen. Soleimani had deep military and political awareness, analyzed and reflected on issues in all their dimensions, and was truly a man of the battlefield.
“General Soleimani had a close relationship with the late Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. The relationship was distinctively marked by a unique brotherhood and mutual respect'', he pointed out.
The Hezbollah chief underscored that Gen. Soleimani and his Iraqi companion Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis diligently fought against the Daesh terrorist group, and their fight could be best described as a confrontation with Washington and its fiendish plots.
