Qom Hosts Grand Celebration of Imam Ali’s Birth with Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani in Attendance

A ceremony marking the auspicious birth anniversary of Amir al-Momenin Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the first Imam of the Shia Muslims, was held in the holy city of Qom in the presence of Grand Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani, along with a large gathering of scholars, seminary students, and devotees.

Hawzah News Agency- The celebration, commemorating the birth of Amir al-Momeni Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) inside the Holy Kaaba, took place at the office of Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani. Participants highlighted the unique spiritual status of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) as the “Master of the Monotheists” and the “Leader of the Pious,” emphasizing his unparalleled role in the promotion of justice, devotion, and moral integrity in Islamic history.

During the ceremony, speakers reflected on Imam Ali’s exemplary life, stressing his steadfast commitment to truth, social justice, and resistance to oppression. They underlined that his teachings remain a guiding framework for contemporary Muslim societies in confronting ethical, social, and political challenges.

The event also featured recitations of poetry and religious eulogies praising the virtues of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), while attendees expressed renewed commitment to following his path of piety, knowledge, and service to humanity.

Such gatherings, regularly held in Qom and other religious centers, underscore the enduring significance of Imam Ali’s legacy in the Islamic world and reaffirm the central role of religious scholarship in preserving and transmitting Islamic values across generations.
