Sabri: Palestine needs action, not statements of condemnation

Sheikh Ekrema Sabri, preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, said the Palestinian cause is facing grave dangers that require concrete action rather than repeated statements of condemnation and denunciation.

Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the “Pledge to Jerusalem” conference in Istanbul on Saturday, Sabri said Palestine needs the political will to implement decisions, protect prisoners, safeguard the lives of people in Gaza and across Palestine, and support all those working for freedom and independence.

He called for real efforts to defend Jerusalem and its holy sites, stressing that Palestine must be placed at the forefront of priorities instead of relying on symbolic statements that achieve little.

Sabri told attendees that the Palestinian people are the rightful owners of the land and possess the will to claim their legitimate rights.

He reaffirmed that Palestinians will remain steadfast in Jerusalem, and will never forsake the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and all sacred sites.
