Al-Basira Africa Institute Concludes Fatimid Days Program in Qom

The Al-Basira Africa Institute in Qom, affiliated with the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, held the closing ceremony of the Fatimid Days programs at Bilal Mosque in Qom, attended by scholars, seminary students, and groups of believers.

Hawzah News Agency- The event concluded with Qur’an recitation, supplications, and a commemorative address in an atmosphere of devotion to Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her).

Addressing the gathering, Hojatoleslam Sheikh Abdul Hadi Isa Rechifa, an African cleric and missionary, highlighted the trials faced by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) throughout the early years of his mission. He outlined the immense spiritual blessings brought by the Prophet to the Islamic Ummah, noting that deliverance “from the Fire,” as mentioned in verse 103 of Surah Al-Imran, stands among the greatest of these divine favors.

The speaker referred to historical accounts describing the assault on the house of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (peace be upon him)—a household that even the Prophet himself would only enter with permission. He recounted the disrespectful actions committed by a group against Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon her), saying the oppression inflicted upon her ultimately led to her martyrdom.

Sheikh Abdul Hadi further pointed to other instances of misconduct directed at the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), emphasizing that such actions deeply distressed Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon her). He cited narrations indicating that she departed this world while displeased with the perpetrators of those actions.

The ceremony also featured elegies and laments recited by mourning groups, which imbued the gathering with sorrow as participants commemorated the martyrdom of Hazrat Siddiqah Tahirah (peace be upon her).

The Al-Basira Africa Institute had launched the Fatimid Days programs last month. Early sessions included a speech by Mrs. Zeinat al-Din Ibrahim, wife of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria. A procession and exhibition honoring the martyrs of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria were also held at Quds Mosque as part of the series, culminating in the final ceremony in Mahdia.
