Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Knowledge-Based Plasma Technology Development Company and Hazrat Masoumeh University (SA), held in the presence of the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Behnamjoo described the agreement as a “strategic step toward applying nuclear innovations in service of public welfare.”
He said the introduction of nuclear-based plasma technology would lead to a “revolution in multiple sectors,” including agriculture, industry, and environmental protection, creating broad scientific and economic benefits for the province.
Highlighting Qom’s role as a major destination for millions of medical travelers each year—particularly from Persian Gulf countries—the governor said: “Nuclear technology offers faster treatments, lower costs, and higher recovery rates. This will not only improve healthcare for our citizens but also solidify Qom’s position as a regional center for health tourism.”
Behnamjoo added that the integration of such advanced technologies aligns with Iran’s broader strategy of using peaceful nuclear energy to promote sustainable development and enhance national capabilities in science and medicine.
