Hawzah News Agency- Qalibaf made the remarks in a meeting with Seyyed Ammar Hakim, leader of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement, in Tehran. Highlighting the deep political, cultural, religious, and regional ties between the two nations, he called for expanding economic and trade cooperation and removing bureaucratic barriers to strengthen private sector partnerships.
He also condemned the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran, noting that the enemy’s strategy goes beyond opposition to the Islamic Republic system, aiming to divide Iran itself.
For his part, Hakim praised Iran’s decisive role in the recent 12-day war, saying the Islamic Republic’s resistance united Muslims worldwide and demonstrated its military strength. He underlined that regional countries now recognize that any harm to Iran would also harm them.
The Iraqi leader also emphasized the vast economic potential for strengthening bilateral trade and called for both sides to seize available opportunities to expand cooperation.
