Hawzah News Agency- Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) Assembly of Syria, in a message, condoled the passing away of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Makki, one of the leading Shia scholars in this country.

In its message, this assembly emphasized that Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Makki al-Amili spent his life among his ummah, while following the concern of his ancestor, Imam Hussain (PBUH), which was making reforms among the ummah, and in this way he went from a mosque to another and from one Husayniyya to another to preach Islam.

The text of this message, which was issued in Arabic, is as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Merciful

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Makki al-Amili spent his life among his ummah, while following the concerns of his grandfather, Imam Hussain (PBUH), who was reforming among the ummah, and in this way, he went from one mosque to another and from one Husayniyya to another to preach Islamic teachings. He used to go to religious centers to spread knowledge among the people, give shelter to the needy, and help the poor. He was present wherever it was necessary from Damascus to Iran and then Lebanon, and he did the work of preaching and reforming the Ummah as well as the task of judging.

The passing of this world, along with the fragrant life and the bright path he left behind, left a gap in the Ummah and a wound in the hearts of his supporters and students that will never be healed.

In the commemoration of this noble scholar of the Islamic Ummah, we ask the Almighty God to place his soul in heaven with his vast mercy, and let him be with his pure ancestors and give patience and peace to his family, relatives and loved ones.
