Hawzah News Agency- the commemoration ceremony for Martyr Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, was held by the Culture House of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Quetta, with the presence of political and religious figures from Pakistan's Baluchistan.
The political and religious figures of Baluchistan state and the heads of cultural groups of Quetta city attended this unifying event paying tribute to the martyrs of the axis of resistance and strongly condemned the aggression of the Zionist occupying regime in Beirut and Gaza.
Seyyed Abulhasan Miri, cultural attaché and head of the Culture House of the Iranian Consulate General in Quetta, in a speech praising the huge turnout of the Muslim nation of Pakistan in support of Palestine and condemning the crimes of the Israeli regime, said, "With the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the Islamic world lost a brave and wise commander of the oppressed nations of the region."
Ismail Haniyeh, the political bureau chief of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, and one of his bodyguards were assassinated in their residence in the Iranian capital early on Wednesday.
They were killed after their residence was hit, the public relations office of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said in a statement.
The reasons behind the attack are under investigation and the details will be released later, the statement read.
Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday (July 30).
