The Lebanese Shia cleric said in a statement, "There is no doubt that after the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the nature of the war has taken a different path, and now all fronts are active."

Hawzah News Agency- The senior Lebanese scholar Sheikh Ahmed Qablan said in a statement, "There is no doubt that after the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, a great resistance figure and the head of the Hamas political office in Tehran, the nature of the war has taken a different path, and now all fronts are active.”

He pointed out that Washington is Tel Aviv's partner in the nature of this war, which puts the entire region in the brink of war, and Israel will regret its evil adventure. Today, the scope of war is very different, and all the fronts of the region have become involved in this situation.

Ismail Haniyeh, the political bureau chief of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, and one of his bodyguards were assassinated in their residence in the Iranian capital early on Wednesday.

They were killed after their residence was hit, the public relations office of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said in a statement.

The reasons behind the attack are under investigation and the details will be released later, the statement read.

Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday (July 30).
