Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, who served as the eighth president of Iran after winning the votes of over 18 million in 2021, was born on 14 December 1960 in the Noghan District of holy Mashhad, the northeastern province of Iran.

Hawzah News Agency- His father, Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Haji Rais al-Sadati, and his mother, Seyyed Asmat Khodadad Hosseini, are ancestrally connected to Ali ibn Husayn Zayn al-Abidin (PBUH), from the generation of Imam Hussein (PBUH), called Sadat Hosseini. As a child, Ebrahim Raisi suffered the loss of his father when only five years old.

Before the presidential Position, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi had served as Deputy Prosecutor and Prosecutor of Tehran, Deputy Chief Justice, Attorney General, Chief Justice, Custodian, and Chairman of Astan Quds Razavi, a member of the Assembly of Experts from South Khorasan Province, which are among his most important positions.

He had both seminary and university education and received his doctoral degree in private law from Motahari University and passed higher education in Iran's seminary.

Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, who also had served as a servant of Imam Reza's Holy Shrine and Custodian and Chairman of Astan Quds Razavi, after years of providing faithful service to his nation, was martyred on May 20 due to a Helicopter crash, which coincided with the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (peace be upon him).
