The first Quranic seminar of German, Dutch and Belgian clerics was held in Hamburg.

Hawzah News Agency- the first Quranic seminar of scholars and clerics of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands was held by the Hamburg Islamic Center for two days from March 4 to 5, 2024 in this city.

Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Hadi Mofatteh, imam and director of the Hamburg Islamic Center, in his opening speech, said that the purpose of such scientific seminars is to promote the Quranic activities of Islamic centers and researchers in the European region and boost their active presence in European academic circles and Quranic studies. Referring to a hadith of the Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali (peace be upon him) about the silence of Holy Quran and the need to speak and converse with it, he considered the sensitivity of this issue in the complex and ambiguous conditions of the contemporary world as a factor for increasing the responsibility of European clerics and scholars in these communities.

This scientific seminar was presented by six professors from Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium and it was attended by more than 30 clerics, researchers and missionaries living in these countries as well as Sweden, Switzerland and England, on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan and it was held with three approaches:

a. Quranic sciences

1. The authenticity of Holy Quran and the study of distortion theory; Sheikh Mohammad Hadi Mofatteh Imam and director of the Hamburg Islamic Center

2. Capacity of Arabic language and literature in response to Quranic questions; Sheikh Ali Khoshnevis, director of Hamburg seminary

B. Explanatory topics

1. structural interpretation of Holy Quran; Sheikh Mohammad Al-Saadi, Social Counselor of Fatima Zahra Center (peace be upon her), Amsterdam

2. Quran in the words of Amirul Momineen (peace be upon him); Sheikh Mohammad Javad Al-Damestani, missionary in Antwerp, Belgium

J. Topics of Quranic history

1. Collecting Holy Quran from the point of view of Orientalists in the light of Imamiya texts; Sheikh Hamed al-Rabi’i, Imam of Al-Mustafa Community in Stuttgart

2. Quran manuscripts in the studies of German researchers (efforts and results); Sheikh Haider Al-Saadi, Vice President of Frankfurt Communications

It is worth mentioning that at the end of this seminar, certificates of participation and presentation in this course were awarded to the participants and lecturers.
