Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Arafi, head of Iran’s Seminary, during his trip to Iraq, met with some Iranian professors living in Najaf and listened to their opinions and suggestions about Najaf seminary and Iranian students living in Najaf.

The Iranian professors of Najaf seminary, while explaining the advantages and strengths of seminary of Najaf, demanded the development of relations between seminaries of Qom and Najaf; While explaining the history of Iranian elites and authorities in the Najaf seminary and the prominent role of Iranians in the history of the Najaf seminary, especially in recent centuries, the professors requested to facilitate the movement of Iranian students and professors to the Najaf seminary to use the scientific capacity of the Iranian students and professors in Najaf more properly.

In another part of the meeting, Iranian professors expressed some problems and presented suggestions to improve the interaction between the two seminaries of Qom and Najaf.

Head of Iran’s Seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi later explained the high position of Najaf seminary in Islam and the Shiite world and emphasized the need to preserve its independence and greatness. He also noted the need to pay attention to the guidelines of the supreme Shia sources of emulation in Najaf and elaborated on the history of Iranian dignitaries in Najaf. The Shia scholar considered it necessary to strengthen the interaction between the two seminaries of Qom and Najaf in future.
